Garage Lights continued

Garage Lights continued

Due to the overwhelming response to my garage lights (joking!), here are the details on the other side.

Spoiler Alert...the only DOH! moment was when I dropped a 10-32 nut and couldn't find it.

Light Fixture Attachment

One minor issue arose...the new lights don't have hanging holes like the old lights.  I made use of the hanger holes on the other side of the garage.

I ended up drilling holes in the fixture and used a screw.  Thankfully I missed all the wires running in that channel when I drilled the holes.

Bracket captured into overhead rack, and tie wrapped into place.  The tie wraps just keep it from pulling out - there's no stress on them.

Result

Lots of light:

All the cables are pretty neatly tie-wrapped onto the rack.  There are no loose wires to snag.

Project Done!

One defective light fixture replaced

Two new fixtures added

Two existing fixtures moved to much better positions
