Tire Carrier Paint

I finally cleaned up and painted the tire carrier arm this weekend.  The picture shows the black paint in process.  I'll install it soon along with a spare tire - another part of being HOA Friendly!

Yukon Ultimate 8.8 Kit

A couple of months ago, I made a simple center punch jig - it was shown in this post:

I finally made use of it today when I drilled out the new 8.8 rotors to 5x5.5.  I'm going to 5x5.5 lug pattern to match the Jeep CJ7 pattern.  All of my other Jeeps also use 5x5.5, so the common lug pattern makes things a little simpler.  

The Yukon axle flange has both 5x4.5 and 5x5.5 hole patterns.  Unfortunately, I couldn't find any 8.8 rotors predrilled with the 5x5.5 lug pattern.  So I'm marking and drilling them.

You can see the center punch mark down in the hole.  I won't have to be super accurate for everything to work fine.  The rotor is hub centric, and the holes in the rotor are oversized to 9/16" for a 1/2" lug bolt.
