Tire Carrier...small update

I went to install the tire carrier arm yesterday.  When I got it out in the sun, I noticed some funky color in the new paint.  

Project mistake #234...buying and using "Gloss Dark Walnut" paint instead of gloss black!

Project mistake #235...dropping the roll pin that holds the latch arm in place...it's somewhere on my garage floor.  I know the general area where it should be, but I couldn't find it last night.  I'll try again later...

After all that, I still installed it along with the spare tire.  I'll repaint it later and find the roll pin.  It actually came out looking pretty good:
