88 YJ-CJ Brake Pedal and Steering Column

I'm pivoting back to power steering hoses...indirectly.  I decided to install the brake pedal, so I could install the steering column and steering shaft to check for interference with the two power steering hoses.

This was kind of a nice mini-project, as everything was cleaned, painted and ready to just bolt back in:

Next up is the steering column with a new gasket at the firewall.  It's nice that they have reproduction gaskets available.

I do not expect to remove the steering column - it should be in there for good.  The dash will be modified to fit over the steering column.

And a new steering shaft was installed:

I did all this, so I can check for interference between the steering shaft and power steering hoses. I'm not loving the clearance that I have right now, but I think I can make it work with these two hoses.

I still need to temporarily install the CJ grill and see if the power steering hoses cause any major interference issues at the grill.
