Shrinker-Stretcher November 2019

I haven't been doing much on the Jeepster the last few months...but I bought a new, interesting tool a while back: a Pair of Shrinker Stretchers. They are used to make custom curved sheetmetal parts (rust repair of windshield frame corners, etc).  I bought them to help make the curved pieces between the wheel wells and body.  I made a custom 1/4" mounting plate, and just clamped it to my bench, which worked well.  The things are easy to use, and will work great for my purpose.  See the first results below:






I went too far with the test piece, and the curves don't match - still learning!
