Distraction #1 and Distraction #2
Distraction #1:
My daughter's Jeep TJ with a bad throw out bearing.
Unfortunately, that bearing is not easy to access:
The throw out bearing only lasted a few hundred miles 😡
I took the time to add some tunnel insulation while the transmission was out:
...and my trusty sidekick was there helping out his sister!
It got a new clutch, pressure plate and pilot bearing too. The AX15 got new front and rear seals, and a fresh fill of Redline MT90. .JPG)
The TJ is finished and driving again, except for the expired registration 😧

Distraction #2
The wood deck on the trailer was getting a little soft, so it came off. I think it was original from 2009, so 14 years probably isn't a bad lifetime:
You can see the rust is mostly gone (or hidden). We sprayed Rust Reformer over the underside to help keep the rust at bay. I'm not sure how much it will help, but it won't hurt.
I'm planning to stain the wood after it dries out a little. The pressure treated lumber is always very wet. We left tight gaps between the boards with the expectation that it will shrink up as it dries out.
More distractions are on the horizon!
